Onur Oncer is a U.S. Army combat veteran turned published scientist who builds laboratories and software, and who deploys and tunes the AI systems behind SDVOSB's security installations. He served from 2009 to 2013 as a 13B Field Artillery Cannon Crewmember and deployed to Afghanistan in 2011 with the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, where he served as an Electronic Warfare Officer and Counter-IED team member. He was a battle buddy of founder Harrison Kendall; the two deployed together and came home combat veterans.
That background is not incidental to the work. Electronic warfare and counter-IED are, at their core, about signals and electronic security under real threat, and it maps directly onto hardening a modern connected home against cyber intrusion.
He holds a B.S. in Physiology from the University of Arizona, is elected to Phi Beta Kappa, has four peer-reviewed publications, and is Google AI certified.
